Aesthetic Dentistry. Holistically.
Aesthetic dentistry is the discipline of dental care focused on enhancing the colour, form, proportion, alignment, and overall harmony of teeth and smile in relation to facial features while preserving optimal oral function and health.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a refined, minimally invasive solution for patients seeking dramatic aesthetic improvement without full-mouth reconstruction. When carefully planned and precisely executed, they transform not just teeth — but self-perception.
Patients typically present with three key concerns:
1. Stained or discoloured teeth that don’t respond to whitening
Intrinsic staining, tetracycline discolouration, or enamel irregularities can make whitening ineffective. Porcelain veneers completely mask underlying colour while allowing us to select a shade that complements your skin tone and facial features — delivering a bright, natural luminosity that whitening alone cannot achieve.
2. Chipped, worn, or uneven teeth
Minor fractures, edge wear, and irregular tooth proportions disrupt smile harmony. Veneers restore ideal length, symmetry, and contour in a single, controlled treatment. Each veneer is custom-designed to enhance balance and create a cohesive, proportionate smile line.
3. Gaps or mild misalignment
Small spaces and minor crowding can often be corrected without orthodontics. Veneers allow us to reshape and reposition the visual appearance of teeth, closing gaps and improving alignment instantly while maintaining structural integrity.
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin, high-strength ceramic restorations bonded to the front surface of the teeth. They are stain-resistant, durable, and designed with facial harmony in mind. The result is a smile that looks refined rather than artificial — brighter, more balanced, and uniquely tailored to you.
Full Mouth Smile Makeovers
A full mouth smile makeover is not just cosmetic dentistry — it is a comprehensive rehabilitation of confidence, function, and facial harmony. Many patients present with three core frustrations: 1. Feeling self-conscious about their smile Chipped, worn, discoloured, or misaligned teeth can create chronic hesitation — covering your mouth when you laugh, avoiding photos, or holding back in professional settings. A full mouth smile makeover systematically redesigns tooth shape, colour, proportion, and symmetry. Through a carefully staged combination of veneers, crowns, whitening, orthodontics or bonding, your smile is elevated to one that feels effortless and natural — eliminating the daily self-doubt. 2. Functional discomfort and bite instability Worn dentition, uneven bite forces, or missing teeth can lead to jaw tension, headaches, sensitivity, and ongoing breakdown. A comprehensive makeover addresses occlusion, vertical dimension, and structural integrity — restoring balance to the bite. This improves chewing efficiency, reduces muscular strain, and protects your teeth long term. 3. Ageing appearance and facial disharmony Tooth wear and collapse can shorten the lower third of the face, deepen lines, and create a tired aesthetic. By rebuilding tooth length and proportion, we re-establish facial support and rejuvenate the smile’s relationship to the lips and profile. The result is subtle yet powerful — a fresher, more youthful presence without looking artificial. A full mouth smile makeover is a strategic, bespoke treatment plan — not a quick fix. When executed with precision and long-term planning, it harmonises oral health, aesthetics, and function into one cohesive outcome: a smile that looks exceptional and feels entirely your own.

Amalgam Replacement
Dental amalgam has been used as a restorative material for nearly two centuries and played a central role in the development of modern operative dentistry.
In the early 19th century, French dentists introduced a paste made from silver coins and mercury to restore carious teeth. The material reached the United States in the 1830s, where it triggered the so-called “Amalgam War”—a professional dispute within the American Society of Dental Surgeons over concerns about mercury toxicity and professional standards. Despite early resistance, amalgam’s durability, ease of placement, and low cost led to widespread adoption.
By the late 1800s, pioneers such as G.V. Black standardised amalgam formulations and cavity preparation principles, greatly improving clinical outcomes. For most of the 20th century, amalgam became the dominant dental restorative material worldwide.
In recent decades, its use has declined due to aesthetic demands, the rise of adhesive composite resins, and environmental concerns regarding mercury. International agreements such as the Minamata Convention on Mercury have encouraged a gradual phase-down of dental amalgam use, though it remains in use in certain clinical and public health contexts.
For those worried about either long term mercury toxicity or simply want to improve the aesthetic appearance of their old Silver Amalgam fillings, we offer a 100% safe Amalgam replacement removal and replacement process which also includes safe capture of the old filling so that the harmful constituents do not enter our waterways.
